I was pretty excited about this workout. I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I hadn’t sneaked a peek at the video in advance before diving in. I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy the Back portion of this video as I was still suffering from some soreness from Day 1′s back routine.

Overall, I enjoyed the leg workout. The millions of various lunges are tricky to do, especially while holding weight, and still keep up without losing your balance. Particularly tricky for me was the Balance Lunge (see image). I couldn’t keep my chair from sliding backwards and my foot on the chair was really uncomfortable. I’ll have to work on that one.

One thing I can say for sure is, my butt is KILLING ME this morning! I thought I would have more soreness behind my knees thanks to the calf raises, but the soreness is really quite mild.

As for the Back routine, I have A LONG WAY to go before I can squeeze out any real pullups to speak of. I haven’t fully recovered from Day 1′s routine and it showed. I will probably use a combination of pullup bar and bands on my next Back Routine.

All in all, this is a pretty fun workout. I’m looking forward to some Kempo X!
